The scope of work included the removal and relocation of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of existing millings, screening, crushing, and haul off of 124,669 cubic yards of excess soils and materials stockpiled on-site from the infield in the Runway Safety Area, placement of 936,906 square yards of 4″ thick P-218 in infields for erosion protection and relocation of service roads. Banicki worked closely with Facilities Management to mitigate access and schedule impacts to airport tenants. Our team was successful in our strict adherence to FAA mandated airside safety and security rules and regulations; management and inclusion of multiple stakeholders in the project communication stream; coordination of safety practices and training of staff to facilitate quality working conditions; and planning and execution of non-traditional working hours to expedite project completion and avoid facilities disruption.
