Performed under our current Valley Metro JOC, this task order included the construction of a brand-new bus stop and shelter on the busy Van Buren Street in the City of Avondale. Located directly outside the Club at Coldwater Springs apartment community, the new bus stop was a necessity for Valley Metro and the City of Avondale.
Project scope included sidewalk removal, new sidewalk, excavation, subgrade prep, concrete bus shelter pad, trash can, bike rack, and a bus shelter canopy with a bench. All construction operations occurred under comprehensive pedestrian detours and minimally invasive lane closures.
