This project entailed a new full depth asphalt pavement section across the entire north apron area at DVT. Long range planning and daily coordination with the ATC Tower, DVT Operations, user groups, and tenants was critical across the 67-acre work area. Seven construction phases ensured minimal disruptions to DVT and enabled Banicki to complete the project in only eight months, two months ahead of schedule.
Project scope included 146,016 SY of new P-401 AC pavement; 146,016 SY of P-209 crushed ABC; 136,530 SY of P-155 lime treated subgrade; utility adjustments; electrical adjustments; sewer adjustments; water valve adjustments; and aircraft tie downs.
