DESCRIPTION

Banicki reconstructed the primary aircraft apron at Holbrook Municipal Airport, restoring pavement strength, improving drainage, and upgrading airfield safety features. Work included full removal of the existing apron and subgrade remediation through the application of cement treated base (CTB).  Banicki then constructed the new FAA pavement section consisting of 23,000 SY of P-209 ABC and P-403 AC.

The project incorporated new storm drain, concrete-encased duct banks, airfield lighting, and taxiway edge lighting. Final work included installation of new aircraft tiedowns, pavement markings, and signage. Banicki maintained active airfield operations throughout construction, coordinating closely with the City and FAA representatives to safely route GA passengers around the terminal area and maintain tenant access to private hangars.
