DESCRIPTION

The Midfield Crossover Taxiway project at Falcon Field Airport included construction of a new connector taxiway and the full realignment of Taxiways D7 and D8 to enhance aircraft circulation, bringing the airfield layout into compliance with FAA design standards. Banicki’s scope included P-401 asphalt paving across all new alignments, asphalt removal, excavation, subgrade stabilization, and P-209 aggregate base placement. Additional improvements involved the installation of new RGRCP storm drain runs and headwalls, upgraded airfield electrical infrastructure, and updated taxiway markings. All work was performed within an active airfield operational environment, requiring continuous coordination with Falcon Field Operations and airport stakeholders to maintain operational safety and minimize disruption.
