DESCRIPTION
Banicki delivered the Miller Road Expansion from Durango Street to Lower Buckeye Road, widening 3,350 LF of corridor from two lanes to a six-lane major arterial with center medians, turn pockets, sidewalks, and upgraded multimodal and utility infrastructure.
The project also constructed three new signalized intersections. Through proactive phasing, utility coordination, and best-value delivery, Banicki advanced all major work elements on schedule while supporting the City of Buckeye’s long-range transportation and development needs.
SCOPE
Major scope elements included full roadway reconstruction and widening of Miller Road to a six-lane arterial, supported by 12.9 acres of grading and more than 35,000 CY of combined import and export to establish the new profile. Improvements included new pavement sections, curb and gutter, pedestrian facilities, center medians, and three fully signalized intersections. Utility work encompassed APS 69kV overhead conversion, DIP watermain installation, VCP sewer main, RCP storm drain, Lumen fiber relocations, ITS fiber, and streetlights.
