This Design-Build project included roadway beautification, improvements, and traffic calming services on Monroe Avenue (Old U.S. 80) through the City of Buckeye’s historic district. Notable features included the installation of chicanes adorned with architectural landscaping and drainage elements along Monroe Avenue. This initiative aimed to mitigate traffic speed, enhance the aesthetic appeal of the historic thoroughfare, and clearly define existing roadside parking.

The comprehensive project scope extended to encompass various components such as stamped concrete crosswalks, asphalt milling and resurfacing, sidewalk enhancements, ADA improvements, curb and gutter installations, architectural landscaping with irrigation systems, drainage enhancements, traffic signal upgrades, utility adjustments, and the incorporation of decorative manhole covers.

During the Design Phase, Banicki collaborated closely with the City of Buckeye and the Design Team Kimley-Horn. Their collective efforts focused on designing and formulating extensive scopes of work that harmonized with the established historical ambiance of Monroe Avenue.
