Executed within the framework of our City of Phoenix JOC, this project involved the development of a fresh cast-in-place concrete skate park and pickleball courts at Solano Park. Additionally, the project encompassed the resurfacing of two tennis courts, transforming them into four pickleball courts, along with the installation of new pickleball court fencing, resurfacing of the basketball court, application of crack and slurry seal to the existing parking lot, construction of a new sidewalk, landscaping, installation of park lighting, and provision of park furnishings at Solano Park.

Initially, the project scope in 2021 solely encompassed the construction of a new cast-in-place concrete skate park. However, the City of Phoenix spontaneously expanded the scope to incorporate the pickleball courts and pickleball court fencing. Banicki collaboratively collaborated with the City of Phoenix to assess and incorporate the additional scope elements within the City’s allocated budget.
