DESCRIPTION

Performed for MCDOT over three continuous years, these projects utilized Banickiā€™s low profile remote-controlled loaders (34ā€ and 36ā€) to perform sediment cleanout of 83 box culverts along Sun Valley Parkway. The box culverts hadnā€™t been cleaned in years, thus excessive sediment buildup was causing flooding overtop the roadway at numerous locations along Sun Valley Parkway during storm events.

442 total culvert barrels were cleaned of sediments using Banickiā€™s remote-controlled loaders across three years. Our loaders eliminated the need for human entry into confined spaces associated with box culvert barrels as shallow as 36ā€. They also provide unmatched efficiency for box culvert cleanout with a lifting capacity of 2,000 lbs. Further project scope included photographic and video inspection of the box culverts utilizing the high-definition cameras on our remote-controlled loaders.
