DESCRIPTION
This airfield improvement project reconstructed Taxiway A North and the Aircraft Runup Area at Scottsdale Airport (SDL), enhancing pavement structure, drainage, and lighting performance across the north airfield. Banicki’s work included complete pavement demolition and reconstruction with cement-treated base, FAA-spec asphalt paving, and upgraded storm drain systems.
Electrical upgrades included new conductor duct banks, junction cans, pull boxes, and LED taxiway edge lighting, along with the reinstallation and protection of existing airfield guidance signage.
Work was performed within an active airfield environment under tight coordination with Scottsdale Airport Operations and Designer Mead & Hunt to maintain safe aircraft movements and operational continuity throughout construction.
