DESCRIPTION
Banicki delivered this large-scale drainage infrastructure project as part of early-phase development for Teravalis, the 37,000-acre master-planned community by Howard Hughes in the West Valley. The scope of the Teravalis Box Culverts Infrastructure project included the construction of 4,726 linear feet of cast-in-place concrete box culverts across multiple wash crossings and future roadway corridors. Eight total structures were built, including six new multi-barrel culverts and two extensions, all fully integrated into the development’s long-range stormwater management system.
The project required extensive excavation, mass grading, and structural concrete placements, including culvert slabs, walls, and decks formed and poured to meet strict dimensional and quality tolerances. Banicki also installed structural handrails at key locations to meet safety and design requirements. The project area spanned undeveloped terrain with limited access, requiring phased mobilization and coordinated material delivery to sustain progress across a broad and evolving site footprint. Serving as one of the foundational civil infrastructure packages for Teravalis, this work established primary drainage corridors to support future vertical and horizontal development.
