Concrete Work Contributes to Sky Train Expansion at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport | ENR | Spring 2020
A four-year project in the making, the extension of the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport’s Sky Train is well underway with anticipated completion date of December 2022. This complex undertaking by Banicki Construction, which is part of the Sterling Construction Co. group on companies, will extent the people mover from 1.92 miles to 2.5 miles. This stretch with transport riders daily from Terminal 3 to the offsite Rental Car Center (RCC).

In October 2018, the City of Houston approved $18.8 million in funding to set the course for Phase 1 for the Houston Spaceport project. This phase of development includes the construction of streets, pipelines, electrical power and other infrastructure development. Texas Sterling-Banicki JV LCC is the main general contractor for Phase 1.
