Constructed 40’ long ADOT standard 6.02 reinforced concrete box culvert with two 5’x6’ barrels featuring earth toned colored concrete for the future build out of 128th Street for the Skyrock master planned community in Scottsdale. Further project scope included modified reinforced concrete headwalls, 24” DIP sleeve for future waterline, handrail, guardrail, and final subgrade preparation for the new Skyrock master community roadway.
Preconstruction Services: The project site was very restricted due to the protected McDowell Sonoran Preserve on either side, local hiking trails, and numerous protected desert wildlife species in the immediate vicinity. Banicki worked with the City of Scottsdale to develop detailed SWPPP, environmental, and preservation plans during preconstruction. Banicki also identified the possibility of hard digging granite boulders during preconstruction and allocated a contingency item, something that proved beneficial to the project schedule as granite was encountered during excavation.
