Performed under our current Valley Metro JOC, this emergency task order involved removing and replacing a failed electrical transformer at Traction Power Substation Site #21 (TPSS #21). Banicki partnered with Rural Electric to self-perform the removal, relocation, and installation of a new transformer in a single shift.

Project scope included removing the existing failed transformer, transporting a new transformer from the OMC, installing the spare transformer, and transporting the removal of the failed transformer back to the OMC for storage. The meticulous removal of the transformer included electrical termination and reconnection as well as resealing the exterior panels for weatherproofing.
