BANICKI WINS AZAGC BUILD ARIZONA PROJECT OF THE YEAR!
January 23, 2026 – Banicki’s Trail Phase II: 75th Avenue to Skunk Creek project has received the Arizona Chapter AGC Build Arizona Project of the Year Award in the under $10 Million public new construction category!
Delivered for the City of Peoria, this project closed a long-standing gap in the City’s regional trail network to improve safety and connectivity for pedestrians and cyclists along Stadium Trail. The project’s centerpiece is a 140-foot pedestrian truss bridge spanning Skunk Creek, providing the missing link between the City’s Stadium Trail, Skunk Creek Trail, and New River Trail networks.
Banicki thanks the City of Peoria, ADOT, Flood Control District of Maricopa County, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacobs, Stinger Bridge & Iron, and all agency partners for their support on this community focuses project!
